A small temptation
So, I went into my son's bedroom looking for my hammer and saw an opened, almost full bottle of wine sitting on the floor by his desk. I went downstairs (found the hammer in the spare bedroom) and found myself thinking about drinking just a glass of wine. I didn't, I can't say there was any craving just the thought. I talked to my son when he got home and he said he found it in his closet where it had been for a couple weeks. His girlfriend had bought it, had one glass and didn't like it. My son doesn't drink but he is somewhat of a slob. He dumped it.

He's almost 21. Doesn't drink...doesn't like it. His girlfriend is 21. My son said she drinks once in a blue moon, usually a glass of wine. I told him I don't want her to bring alcohol here anymore and my son agreed. He said it made him uncomfortable anyway.
At 141 days that would have been the first thought that entered my mind. Just a reflex. For me things like that have been what I have to watch out for.
The ones you know are coming, you can somewhat prepare yourself. But the surprises come from out of nowhere and get ya.
Glad it's gone.

Seriously though, the thing I think I'm the most...proud isn't really the right word...satisfied?....with is the fact that I was alone when I found it and didn't drink it. No one would've known if I drank some. But I would have known. I really feel good about it now. I'm glad it happened and really glad I didn't drink.
A Chianti might just send me over the edge!! Spent my honeymoon in Italy wine tasting 4 years ago. The mere mention of a Chianti is risky for me!!
