I don't know what the heck is going on here but all day I have had the urge to use. I haven't had urges like this since my first month. It probably has something to do with quitting smoking. Just outing myself. We all know how this thing likes secrecy. I have to go pick my kid up and am talking myself out of stopping at the liquor store on the way. I could come home and drink with no one the wiser. Well not now because I told all of you.

well you'd know about it too and be the wiser and you'd probably then get some guilt out of the deal for drinking which would stink who knows what else you might get hangover or worse. But yea that little voice tells ya otherwise no one will know it'll be cool.

I was checken the prices on sign outside the beer store today wondering how much a 30pk would set me back this evening. Probably a lot more then the advertised price. I went about my way and moved along.

Good job. It seems to me as soon as I say (or write) my obsession or just plain stinking thinking out loud, I realize how stupid it is, and I am relieved of its power.

That's why it's always a good idea to call someone else in recovery when we have these thoughts; they've had them too. We can say it out loud to someone who gets it, and hopefully it goes away!!
