struggling today
Im feeling lonely and tired today and I want to take a drink but not going to do so. Just thoughts of drinking no cravings. I played the tape to the end and thought of all the consequences of drinking. Maybe I need a nap. I tried calling people but no one picked up their phones hopefully someone will call back. I went to 5 meetings this week. I could be just tired and I forgot to make any calls yesterday because I was super busy so maybe that is why I feel this way. I saw my sponsor this morning. I just feel off today and depressed and lonely and tired. Hope this passes soon. Im just having a bad attitude today.
I understand. I feel out of sorts too. I think it's because my routine was badly altered this week. I just checked the meeting schedule and am going to hit one at 6pm, it's not a usual meeting of mine.
It's okay to feel this way, I think it's because we are beginning to be aware of our spiritual condition. It's what we do when we feels this way that matters. Sounds like you're trying to do the right things.

I talked to someone on the phone today from AA another young gal like me and I went out to the bookstore and bought myself a book that I have wanted for a long time. I still feel like totally off today but I wont take a drink over it.
We all have those days, the important thing to remember is that just like a nickel swallowed by a small child, it shall pass.
Keep up the faith, your higher power will get you through.
Say the serenity prayer a few dozen times, it helps me...
Hang in there and stay strong!

Or coming on here and talking about it! Good for you, keep up the good fight and playing the tape through.
