The doctor has just prescribed me with Chlordiazepoxide and I have to take 60mg a day (they are in 10mg capsules) and 120mg of Propranolol to be taken daily (in 40mg tablets) and I have taken my first dose around an hour ago. So does anyone on here have any experience of these medications on here? Did they help you at all? Do you know what I can expect? Thank you

This would've been an ideal discussion to have with your Dr. or Pharmacist. Did you ask them? Also does your Dr. know your drinking history?

My Dr prescribed Chlordiazepoxide years ago to help me with alcohol withdrawal. It helped. I didnt have any problems other than it made me a little drowsy.

It is helping so much! My cravings for alcohol are greatly reduced and I'm so much more relaxed and the panic and anxiety is also massively reduced. Feeling very positive. My doctor knows my full drinking history and he was almost certain that the meds prescribed would help me and adverse effects would be unlikely

i had the chlordiazepoxide (librium) during a medical detox last year. i also take antidepressants and anti psychotics. the librium helped.

what did your doctor say it was for?
