Im at my mother in laws for a memorial day cookout. Beer everywhere. Im confident i wont drink, just a bit of a trigger. I keep playing the tape in my head of how it would end. Although im happy im not going to lie , its situations like this that make me feel lile an outsider ....i cant just a "have a few" like everyone else

Drink lots of club soda. Fills you up and the bubbles taste good and keeps your drinking hand occupied.
And then quietly roll your eyes at the drunk folks.

Ever since I had my meltdown a few days ago I am really poundin' the ice cold water and eating lots of fresh fruit to stay full. I had one Dr. Pepper today, otherwise its been straight up water.

As mentioned, this is a trying holiday for us all.

Or you could try flavored Meltzer water, it comes in a lot lot of good flavors and is also bubbly.
