I am going to Founders Day!

I had not planned on going. I had no desire to go. I am new and figured it would be way to much for me now. I am also terrified to go into any large city. I get lost in a paper bag.

Well I went to my BB meeting last night and my sponsor mentioned that her sponsor, who was also at the meeting, needs help with registration from 8-11 on Saturday. So all of us are going to meet up before and I will help with registration and then we will hang around the rest of the day.

I am really looking forward to it. I am excited!

GracieLou, how wonderful!
Isn't it so wild to feel excited about life again?

It is.

I was thinking about it on my drive into work today. I would have never in a million years seen myself going to Founders Day much less being so excited about it

You are privileged to live in a Gr8 state for the celebration. It has to be a special thing there, first century AA !

I do not live in Akron but Dr. Bobs house is only about 8 miles from me. Most of the meetings I attend are just over the border in Akron. We get people at the Friday and Saturday meeting from out of town quiet often. A couple weeks ago we had people from California and a month ago we had a whole gang from West Virginia.

I will have two months Friday so this is rather a big deal for me. From what I have heard it is big and crazy and wonderful all wrapped into one. A person said at the BB meeting that when the BB says that we are people that would otherwise not mingle that nothing shows that more then Founders Day...lol
