Happy weekend
Just to say another amazing night without booze. Went to my daughter's birthday bash at a club in London. Totally amazing being there SOBER. There comes a point in the evening though when some, not all, peeps get a bit pissed, sloppy, talking twitterish, rambling, repeating themselves, and boring. At this point I really, really wanna go home, couldn't just do that tho last night coz venue was in town & not local. Anyway what I'm saying is these evenings are good, up to a point, then they degenerate. Feeling great on this sat morning. Sobriety rocks, it is totally cool & trendy to be sober. X

I so agree with you (again) Lily.
And I think when people who are considering giving up drinking feel anxious because they will never enjoy themselves, need to have nights like this. So they can see that they miss out on nothing whatsoever!
I agree how the night degenerates after a few hours.
When your sober in the middle of that it is not fun.
Just think of all your daughters friends waking with hangovers, about to waste a weekend laying around feeling rough.
I found when I went out and was sober, it was eye opening how dull the night was.
You couldn't have a conversation with anyone, even a light hearted one.
People repeated themselves non stop.
People could be overly touchy feely or overly emotional.
Some people would stagger about, be clumsy, look like they were going to be sick.
No, not at all enjoyable. It never was for me. I just felt pressured into not being the odd one out!
Now I love being the odd one out. I love sticking out like a sore thumb!
My best to you xx
