Now I went and done it...
...I think I may have blown out my pancreas. On Friday afternoon while still at work, I had this sudden stabbing pain in my stomach area, and it radiated up to the right side of my chest, all the way to my shoulder. It hurt like absolute hell. It was all I could do to walk the three blocks to the bus stop to go home. Once I got home, I crawled into bed and laid on my left side, because lying on my right side or my back hurt worse. Next day (Saturday), it still hurt, but the pain was not quite as sharp. Seemed to get worse when I breathed in. I didn't really eat much the whole day, though I actually felt hungry. Today (Sunday), the pain has decreased somewhat more, and I've been eating normally.
Anyone else go through pancreatitis? I'm thinking that's what I've got going here.
Good news: have been sober an entire week!

You should see a Dr. And if the pain was as severe as you describe, you probably should have gone to the Emergency room when the pain first occurred. It could be any number of things, including a heart attack. Or it could be something simple and mostly harmless, but without medical attention you won't know.
But good job on staying sober for a week.
