Why not go to the Botanic Gardens or Hagley Park? It might take some of your stress away.

Your brain and body are healing and it takes time for this.

You can stay stopped!

Good job on the 2 weeks. I like sudz' idea. I don't have ADHD but I do get anxiety and have trouble breathing and keeping my focus sometimes when driving.

Breathe all good in, let all the bad go out with your breath.

Remember all feelings can and will pass.

Assuming you are medicated, maybe speak with your prescribing doctor about the adhd?

Congrats on two weeks!! Take it easy.

24 hour gym, clean the shack, etc,

Just keep busy and out of your head.

I'm sorry you're feeling so bad. It does get better! Definitely call your doctor. If your on meds, they may be working better since theres no alcohol in your system now so you might need a dose adjustment or a different medication. Anxiety tends to linger, alcohol can also mask underlying medical issues so now that your not drinking its great to see a doctor.

Some of your withdraws sound familiar; only thing I can suggest is hang in there for few days & it will be over w/. The longer you avoid going thru them, the harder you make it to quit!! I c AW everyday wishing she would quit but doesn't really want to coz of the "pain" of giving it up

Do you take any vitamin supplements? Alcohol totally depletes the body of everything it needs to function normally, and when I wasn't taking supplements I constantly felt awful - even when not drinking. I started taking:

*B-vitamins
*Magnesium
*Kelp
*Zinc
*Milk thistle

And felt my health improve almost immediately. After 30 days of supplementing, I felt really good, and really feel the difference if I stop taking them.

I don't know how/if any of these would interact with your ADHD medication, so check with your doctor first, but as far as I know they're safe to take with any meds.
