Popping in to say hello
Hi everyone, it seems I haven't logged onto SR in quite a while so I wanted to chime in and wish everyone well. I've been so busy with work and other things that I although I am proud I'm sort of astounded that its been 195 days since my last drink. I didn't even realize it's been that many days until I looked at my calendar 5 minutes ago. Most nights I don't even think about drinking because I'm too tired but occasionally nights like tonight (when I have the whole weekend off) the thought does cross my mind. I decided to log in and saw a great message from someone sent a couple weeks ago. It got my mind off drinking and distracted me from the boredom which is just what I needed. Once again, SR to the rescue. Anywho, hope you all take care and have a good, sober time this weekend. Stay strong friends.

Hi Meg! You encouraged me as a newby runner...tomorrow I'm running my 3rd 5k 
Glad you are doing well and so glad you are still not drinking. Funny the mind goes there sometimes, even after a long time, but it's empowering to know we don't have to go there with it.
