Happy Saint Patrick's Day
Happy Saint Patrick's Day
Just wanted to give a shout out from the land of shamrocks and leprechauns and all things green.
Plenty of sore heads in the morning I'm sure.
Glad I won't be one of the suffering!
frank McCourt described it well,
"March up Fifth Avenue, and stagger down Third".
Referring to the New York Paddy's day celebrations.
When I was a child, we got to break Lent fast (I always cheated anyway),
wore green ribbons in our hair (ironed on the stainless steel kettle) and went to mass.
Ah, how times have changed.
No smiley available?????!!!!!

A happy back at ya.
I've got to admit this was a tough one for me. I don't think I ever made it past St. Patrick's day with buying some Guinness or Harp until this year. I'm just reflecting on that now, wow that is a milestone for me.
One of my triggers of holidays past, the gratifying six pack to honor my heritage. Or was it always just another excuse to get me drink on?

Happy St. Patrick's Day Hollyanne! Love the Frank McCourt quote - I really enjoyed his books.
Made it through this year's festivities sober - yay! I visited my hometown in St. Louis which has 3 major parades. This year I wore my green, spent time with friends and family, walked in the parade, and had a wonderful corned beef and cabbage dinner. The beauty of it all is I will remember it all and wake up with no hangover!
