40 days today, without looking
I used to post here but hadn't for a couple few years. I'm 31 years old and decided on January 2nd that my new year's resolution will be to not drink for a year. I know I should quit forever but forever is too long and I'll be happy with a year. And who knows, after 1 year I'll maybe want to go for another year.
Today is my 40th day then, and so far I've survived the local team making it to the NFC championship, the superbowl, and my birthday. I posted my goal on my FB page and a number of people gave me "3 days" or "a week" before I relapsed. I love proving them wrong!! The best part is probably half a dozen people saying that they are surprised I've lasted this long.
I actually came back on because I was curious what happened to mercurial_me. I don't think we ever chatted but his story really stood out to me for some reason. I looked at his account but I can't seem to tell when the last time he posted was. Anyway I hope he is doing well, as I hope all of you are doing well.
