Frequent Urination?!

Perhaps an odd question.

I'm not currently in the process of quitting alcohol, as such. I have quit in the past for a month or so at a time, and since my last attempt I've managed to moderate rather well. Anyway...that's not what this is about!

Although I've not intended to quit this year, I've hardly had a drink at all since Christmas and I'm experiencing something that's happened every other time I've quite booze for a while...

Basically I can't stop urinating!

I've thought through all the logical stuff: urinary tract infections, prostate problems etc. but this is somewhat different in that it only happens when I quit drinking! I don't have to get up in the night, but sometimes in the day I can go 3-4 times in an hour!

So...my question is simple: has anyone else experienced frequent urination symptoms when GIVING UP drinking?! You'd expect it to be the other way round.

If so, how much longer is it going to last? It's driving me mad!

It's likely not anything serious, but I'd see a Dr if I was concerned fountainhead

Alcoholism can lead to diabetes. Frequent urination in early withdrawal could also be your body ridding itself of toxins it holds onto with frequent drinking. Could be several things.

See a doctor!
