jeez..... the longest month ever...

ugh.. hello, i finally have 1 month sober, wow. that was so hard and it seems like it took so long just to get this little time. anyway, I have a sponsor and am going to start on the steps. I feel much better that before, but I have been in this cycle many times over and have relapsed. I think what has been helping me most is focusing on other things to do, instead of drink.. for me it has been working out, playing music, computer work, and going to alot of meetings. basically, always trying to keep busy with productive and fun things. I hope this helps someone.. have a good day..

Thanks, it does help. I think a big part of staying sober is replacing the time spent drinking with other activities. Good job on one month.

Stick with your sponsor and the oldtimers, work the Steps and the time will fly.

I sat with my friend Bill this morning at the meeting and I'll be speaking at his 38th AA birthday at the end of the month.

Best of luck Pete.
