I want to get to day 1......

Why is it so hard when you really want to get there????

I think there's two components exhausted - there's wanting to be sober and then there's making sure we have the right conditions and the right back up to make that happen & keep it happening...

What kind of changes have you made in your life?
what kind of support do you have?

The changes are what has me drinking and SR is my only support at this time.

Sorry - I can't actually get much of your story from what you've posted so far, Exauhsted.

By changes I mean the changes you've made to your life - positive changes.
Not drinking is one change - but most of us find our old lives are drinkers lives...we need to change other stuff too.

I had to changes a lot of things I used to do, and who I did things with.

I had to find new ways to deal with the stresses and problems I used to drink over.

I needed to find decent sober support for those times when I felt like I being overwhelmed.

If you haven't checked out the November thread yet, I can really recommend it - there's a lot of support there from people trying to quit or newly sober.
