That is so wonderful Jfanagle!!! When I read that you had 13 years my heart went to thumping with joy...it's so refreshing to know that alcohol doesn't have to ruin all of our lives. Life is hard enough without alcohol adding to the miseries...congrats!!!
Thanks to every one of you folks.
I have found over the years that one of the often overlooked benefits of sobriety is that along the path you get to meet so many wonderful people.
The opportunity to share life's struggles with others who face similar challenges is not a gift that is given to most people. Having friends who know your triumphs and missteps as their own is like having hundreds of mirrors through which you can view life as it was and also as it can be.
Thank God I experienced alcoholism; if I hadn’t I would have never known just how much we can accomplish with the right mix of desire, support and the knowledge that there is a power beyond ourselves that when approached in a proper manner can transform our lives.
Thank you one and all. Be good to yourselves, you deserve it.
