Passing the two week mark

So I have made it to 15 days now... Best decision that I have made to get myself together in this way. Last night I was at a friends house and the beast had me convinced that I could enjoy "just one" beer but I stood my ground and had some water instead. Hope all of you are finding the peace that you seek as well.

half a month! congratulations and i wish you all the very best. i drank beer for over 30 years and i never ever had "one beer!"

Congrats!

I'm over a year sober and I still have the thoughts of "I wish/wonder if I can handle just one?" of course, I don't have the one because I know the one will lead to many more. Sometimes the thoughts are more pressing than other times. Just stick to your guns and you can get passed the hardest parts of staying sober.
