Court Case Turned Out Good....
Yesterday I went to court and my case was dismissed. I am grateful as I didn't have a lawyer. A month and a half a go I had a one day slip that resulted in me being arrested. It was rather a minor charge but am grateful because sitting in the cold cell for a few hours got my "sobriety focus" back. The police didn't show up & I was really going to apologize for my unruly behavior & am almost glad that they arrested me before I started smoking cocaine. I had over 9months sober before that day and I believe that it's easier for me to stay sober than drink & drug. I don't know if thats a good sign or not but alcohol really has taken a toll on me & my life is better sober. Even though I don't always think so and play the "woe is me" tape a lot.

I was thinking of you and wondering how your case would turn out. Really happy the charge was dismissed as the police didn't show up. Please don't take this outcome for granted, the consequences could have been much worse. Maybe you've got somebody out there looking after you. Huge congrats....

Thanx, Elizebeth. I think I posted before but I have a fairly easy time of obtaining a few months here & there of sobriety. Around 9months seems to be when I "fall off the wagon" and binge drink/use anywhere from a few day to a few months. I feel like a washing machine. Wet, spin, dry...repeat
