Chronic Relapser Ready to Quit

Hello

I am a 32 year old male and have been an alcoholic for 10 years. I've been in and out of AA for the past few years but im a chronic relapser. I have moved from beer to vodka and it's time I truly live one day at a time and stop the insanity. I take Prozac for anxiety and also have some Xanax for acute panic symptoms. I'm going to check my BP and watch for any major withdrawal symptoms. I have lurked on here but never really participated. Thank you for letting me share.

What did your sponsor advise you to do about relapsing? Did you take his advice?

I wish you well in whatever program you choose but it might just be time to "commit" to AA rather than be involved.

Like a bacon & egg breakfast... the chicken is involved and the pig is committed.

All the best.
