First Hurdle cleared, time to stay focused
First Hurdle cleared, time to stay focused
For me, getting back on the wagon has always been easy but the ride to the top is bumpy along the way. Once I make to the top and start going down the easy side I always decide to jump off.
So I passed the first bump last night and held on. I am proud of that and feel ready to continue up. My worry though is when I get passed the early stuff I forget all the reasons why I need to stay quit in the first place.
Yesterday, I had the impulse smack me after about one hour of sitting at my computer relaxing. So I told my wife I was going to walk the dogs and she joined me. I felt better afterwards and made it through the night. I feel good right now with no thoughts of wanting to drink so I just to need to keep doing things that stop the mental obsession when it comes.
Another Sober day on the menu, all are welcome to join.

Yea,While the first few days are very tough. The times I usually failed were around the 2 week mark,or after. I would be thinking I had it whooped, and out of the blue before I knew what happened I lost it.
The last time I planned out my free time especially around 2 weeks to be very stress free.
All I can say is I learned from my mistakes, and I made a lot of them. I am still only one drink away from hell..... Just one.
