DAY 2 of my sobriety.
hello all , day 2 is here but it still feels like day 1 because i have not slept a wink , i feel a bit shaky , sick and very depressed , im extremely worried about days 3 and 4 but trying not to think about it , my only goal is that "IM NOT GOING TO DRINK TODAY" thanks for listening.

Try to make a daily plan of what you are going to do - without of course - the presence of alcohol drinking. As long as you follow those daily routine, you will get used to a daily life without alcohol anymore and might help you in stopping your drinking habit.

Do something that feels good, like watch a couple movies, self-medicate with something you like to eat. I find that spicey is a good substitute for booze. Treat yourself with the kindness you ordinarily do when you are sick with the flu.

Me too, I'm on day two. My withdrawals were more due to a train wreck 7 days or alcohol abuse rather than a long term abuse, but day one was a complete nightmare. I still haunt slept, hoping to catch an hour or two tonight.
