I can't get to a meeting (never have)...And I have tried every possible way! I only have a small window of time (I'm a single mom) to go. There are just no meetings in the time frame I have. I cannot affort a babysitter and I'm not close enough to anyone (I recently moved) to ask to babysit. So where do I go? I want to start this! I will keep looking for meetings but till then what do I do? Should I just read? post? what do I do till I can find a meeting? (and I fear that will seriously take a while) Is there safe online meetings? I want to get working on this!

Some groups offer child care during the meetings for members in your situation. Might be an option for you.

If you have a PC or laptop at home with a decent Internet connection, you might want to look into the possibility of an AA meeting via Skype. I am stationed outside the US, and when I did attend AA, I knew there were Skype groups for English-speakers who lived too far away to attend a regular meeting.

One thing - if you already have a regular Skype account, you might want to see if you can set up another more anonymous one. It'd be prudent to maintain the anonymity similar to these SR handles.
