Two months
It's been two months today since I had my last drink. It has been an incredibly tough time but I feel really good today. I saw my GP yesterday for a check up, she said I looked so much better than I did when she last saw me.
On a side note, I have been prone to seizures since I was a child and have been seeing a neurologist for many years now. I have not had a seizure for a long time, until I made the decision to quit alcohol. The seizures were an incredibly frightening and traumatizing experience for me, but thanks to all the support I am receiving they are now under control. Who else has had this experience?
Despite the horror of the past two months, I feel really good. Onwards and upwards.

Seizures during withdrawals from alcohol are one of the dangers of detoxing without medical supervision. I am glad you are okay.
