no better feeling in the world for me than to wake up each day and have a good cup of tea
i never knew just how much i would be grateful for just being able to drink a cup of tea first thing in the morning, instead of a drink of booze

today i take that for granted now but just posting here made me think how lucky i am i can have tea instead with no want or desire for anything else

Coffee, tea, energy drinks, and diet soda. Now I'm thinking of a healthier alternative so I don't drink the previous 4 too often: mixing carbonated water with various juices.

I blend herbal teas that I buy in bulk.
Easy to do and very healthy and inexpensive

I serve them both hot and iced, depending on the blend.
Most anything mixes with mint--mint and nettle is a favorite.

There are also good bulk herbal teas on Amazon.
Davidson's and Zhena's are both good and use organic sources.

Diet Pepsi, Diet Coke or my personal favourite Irn Bru (think its just a Scottish thing)

But anything that gets your taste buds away from Alcohol based drinks gets my vote.

Have a great day everyone.

I've begun juicing. Strawberry, banana, kale smoothie - a few days you'll be AMAZED at your energy levels. I also go with apples, lemon (stimulates liver I understand), orange, celery, mushroom, baby cucumber. Use a sweetner if need be, but you can get some awesome nutrition. If you can, invest in a blender - I got a Ninja a few weeks before Christmas.

I totally replace a meal with 700 calories of smoothies/juice. Really makes a difference!!!

Um, no, lol :p

Actually, not drinking enough water is a real problem for me. It seems that when I don't drink alcohol, I don't drink water either. I try to add some orange juice or lemon to give it some flavor. I avoid carbonated drinks.

Recipe for a Brooklyn Egg Cream:

Pour 1/2 inch chocolate syrup into a tall glass
Add 3/4 inch milk
Fill the rest of the glass with seltzer water
Mix the syrup into the milk with a spoon.
