Life is life now. No longer wait until work is out pick up a pint (or two) and drink myself to sleep every night. I have gained a half a day back of my life. I really don't think about it much now. The cravings are long gone. I know I cannot drink, but hey I know I can't walk a wire across the grand canyon either. Accept it for what it is and it makes it easier to move on. Sounds easy eh? Well it took a long time to get there and the early battles were just that...everyday battles but I am here to tell you there is life on the other side and it is oh so much better!

And for all those who are just starting out. I know you are reading this and thinking I can never make 5 years, or he is one lucky fella. Well I am lucky and you can make it. I was in your shoes, feeling your anguish, pain, failure. It is all part of the process. Don't try to ignore it, embrace it knowing that it takes time to heal. It makes the healing all that much more sweet.
