Question Alcohol Withdrawl - Is this normal?

Hello all,
My brother has relapsed and is staying with me and I have a concern. He's relapsed 4 or 5 times now but says this time around, he feels a lot worse and has a slight temperature, not quite 100. He tapered off yesterday and had a little this morning. Reading online I found that fever is listed with the more severe form of withdrawal and although he has no other symptoms in that category, I'm a little worried. My question is, how closely do you think he needs to be watched? Should I set my alarm and check on him throughout the night or do you think he'll be okay?
Thanks everyone!

I forgot, he's been throwing up too, but has been able to hold down a little liquid the last few hours.

why not take your bro to the ER or a free or low cost clinic
Free/Low-Cost/Sliding-Scale Clinics

or your local Dr?

Detox can be tricky sometimes - why not play it safe?

Thanks for the link @Dee74! We've spent literally hours and hours and hours searching online for places like that. The economy has hit us hard, so that link is great.
My brother is doing better. His temp went down and he improved a bit overall soon after I posted, so we're just going to try and make sure he rests and gets some food in him.

Alcohol detox is extremely dangerous and can cause seizures. People die from withdrawal. If symptoms persist, get him to a hospital!

Yes, please go to an ER if things continue or worsen.

Google "alcoholism and kindling." Repeated relapses/withdrawals will mean his withdrawals get more severe each time. Please urge him to talk to a doctor.
