Did you ever relate with any movie characters
I'm a big movie guy so for me there were several. I'm not saying I felt "just like" their character; after all many of these were larger than life. But they had elements I could relate to:
Matt Damon's character in Good Will Hunting
Denzel Washington's character in Courage Under Fire
Sylvester Stallone's character in Over The Top
Denzel Washington's character in Man On Fire
Christian Bale's character in The Machinist
Tim Robbins' character in The Shawshank Redemption
Russel Crowe's character in Gladiator
Sylvester Stallone in Rocky
I guess what I connected with was every character seemed to have his down and out moments, only to later achieve atonement or great victory. In the case of Denzel Washington's characters they were alcoholics in the movies.

Neat post, I love movies, and I don't even have to think about this one, I already know....
Lester, played by Kevin Spacey, in American Beauty...
Man...
BTW... This movie was not about what you might think it was if you didn't actually see it...

Hey stu.... I did find myself relating, uncomfortably, with Harvey Keitel, a little bit, especially the family stuff, in the first Bad Lieutenant...
Maybe even, Henry Hill in Goodfellas... I was into stimulants and those last scenes where he is cooking dinner, going here, going there, watching the helicopters... trying to direct the whole crazy day... yea.

Lena Olin's character, and Daniel Day Lewis for that matter, in "The Unbearable Lightness of Being."
And as for the alcoholic in me, let's not leave out Meg Ryan's character in "When a Man Loves a Woman."
