For me the effects of alcoholism were far greater over time then just the skin, cosmetic piece. What I did find is that getting sober allowed me to look in the mirror clearly for the first time.

I also found that the way I look is more dependent on how I feel. Yeah, I got some lines, spots, what not but man I smile like I never smiled before and I live really like I never lived before and all of that good vibe flows into us and how we look.

Kinda funny how the immediate physical appearance improved when I quit (no more puffy face, lesions and redness but as the months pass I notice more and more how much better I look.

Could be I just love me now so of course I respect myself a heck of lot more and now take the time to get showered, dressed and spend a bit of time on me

Oh and I was an outgoing attractive chick before I drank and let me say that it seems I still got it....hehe. Yeah I have had a few younger gents flirt so this old bird got some staying power....hehehe.
