Acceptance is KEY

Really, without it, I don't see how one can progress. I have not really accepted, or came to terms with my alcoholism. My sponsor says I am smack dab in the middle of step one, but I like to beat a dead horse.

I seem to complicate everything I do, when in reality, it is fairly simple.

Accepting the fact that I am a alcoholic, and being willing to do something about it is key

Your are absolutely right with that statement about acceptance! I struggle with over analyzing things, it’s just the way it is, I have accepted it and now I will continue to grow and move forward.

Formal directions for Step 1 are 'fully concede to our innermost selves that we were alcholic'. What that means is contained in the Dr.'s Opinion and first 3 Chapters.

Go to elmoware.com....and listen to one of Dr. Paul O.'s talks. He wrote my favorite BB story and is the creator of the acceptance stuff many of us rely upon. No one says it better!
