Sober Birthday
Sober Birthday
Sorry to make a new thread, but I gotta say. Today's my first birthday I've been completely 100% sober since I was 12, and my 75th day sober!
It's kind of different celebrating a birthday without booze, or being young enough for a kid's party. But I like it, it's a change for the good. No 20 shots for me!
Anybody else wanna talk about their first sober birthday?

Happy Birthday Lee - and congratulations
My first sober birthday was about 90 days in - I had planned to symbolically quit after my b'day but fate had other ideas.
It was not only my 40th but my first time at celebrating an occasion without drinking - it was a quiet but meaningful day spent at home...I spent it with a close friend
good memories!

no sober birthdays in a long time(since my teens). But I bet the food will taste much better on your birthday as we always had big spreads of food. I love food and it does taste much better without the booze. Congrats

My first sober birthday was exactly twenty years after the day I first drank alcohol. My first drink was a black russian on my sixteenth birthday, i was then more or less always drunk until i was thirty five, thirty six was my first sober.
My first sober birthday was about 30 days into sobriety and it was my 51st birthday, I know I had some sober birthdays before then but I couldn't remember any of them, I was happy and greatful to be alive and still am every single day.
I was around 6 months sober for my first sober birthday and it was really nice. Just went to dinner with my family and that was about it. I'm gratful to have been sober for it and look forward to many more like that.
