Glad to hear from you and congrats on making it to day 5. I had stomach upset in early sobriety....do talk to a doctor if you are feeling ill because detox can be dangerous. And remember it is illegal for a doctor to disclose patient information!

Hope you have a great day today!

Glad to see the update Miela - congrats on 5 days.

My advice is do be honest with whoever you see - noone can can advise or treat you properly or appropriately if they only have half the story...

Great job, Miela! What you're experiencing is common, and it happened to me too. Still, I think you should be 100% honest with your doctor!

Thank you all

I have to check in with him again during the week so I'll see how that goes… The 'acidy' feeling in my stomach comes and goes but the nausea is never ending - it remind me of the horrendous morning sickness I had when pregnant I honestly think it's more to do with anxiety than anything else. My anxiety levels are sky high, hence the alcohol use!

Thanks again for everything, hope you're all doing good too

Thanks for the tip Bulldog777. I've been finding it hard to eat due to the combination of nausea and anxiety but when I do, I've been trying to have very nutrient-dense food. I'm hoping it'll pass soon.

Day 6 nearly over - can't believe I've come this far, especially as this has been a seriously stressful week with work and home.

Hope you're all doing OK

Thank you so much Viavai and NYCDoglvr. The encouragement I've received here is what has kept me going this far. You're all amazing - thank you

Here goes day 7!
