Without relenting to my temptation.

Those martinis dancing across the road this chilly evening suddenly are no longer relevant.

As I ate a big meal, which helps me greatly reduce my cravings.

As I now lie warmly in my bed, reading and riding on the wings of my imagination.

How thankful am I that even if I end up drinking tomorrow or next year, that I at least got to enjoy the placid pleasure of one more sober day.

I hope I can enjoy this moment again tomorrow, a moment where my true, untortured self can enjoin in a fresh breath of life.

To all who are struggling as I am, I wish you peace and hope that you too can find these days.
