MemphisBlues. That's a really sad story about your mother. For a young boy to experience such things... I'm lost for words... Such scars are never going to heal, so I'm really impressed with how you are tackling them. You are standing up head high. Really inspiring.

Me and my younger brother were raised by our mother who suffered from depression. She threaded a very narrow line of being able to function in society and being too far gone. She was hospitalized a few times and has been on heavy medication since. And our upbringing was quite strange, we moved a lot - various countries, cities, towns, loads of schools, new sets of friends every six months. My brother handled this better than me. He's nicely married, with kids, a PhD degree and a Professor post. I've always felt like I was given good cards but was never taught how to play the game. So that is what I'm trying to do now.
