Just heard the new eminem album, I was already a fan but even if your not it's got some pretty inspiring stuff about recovery on it a possible feel good option for people feeling down or struggling.

Shock Value 2.. love his stuff too. (other than the tracks w/ JoJo and Miley Cyrus.. wtf!). SV1 was way better, IMHO.

I was thinking the same thing today when I was listening to "not afraid" on the radio in my car. Yeah.....only those who walked in these shoes can know how powerful sobriety is.

Thanks for posting!!

Well, he in particular is not my thing, but I do think it's valuable to use what works for us to maintain a good hype about ending and not feeding addiction.

I don't listen to much rap (other than some Wu-Tang and Jay Z), but I can relate. I love listening to anything I can get a good message of recovery.

Maybe I'll check it out.

I can't wait to hear his whole album. It doesn't come out until June 20 something? I have always been an Eminem fan. Can't wait to hear the whole thing. Thanks for sharing.

It may be because he's sober. No puffiness or sickness to his face.

I have Eminem's last album and it was scary.

If Marshal was speaking the truth about his mom and step dad during his childhood which I think he was then it is simply amazing how he has turned out.

He had the worst childhood I had ever heard.

Thanks ((Bulldog)) - I like Eminem..good video/song.

I like T.I., too. When he got busted, here in Atlanta, over a year ago...went to prison (for guns), but had a history of selling crack back in his youth, he was court-ordered to do community service, mainly because he already has a history of reaching out to kids here AND because he has such a big influence on kids.

He came out with some pretty good stuff, more about burying the past "The old me's dead and gone", than what he had done. The first time I heard the line "people wonder how I sit here, facing years and I'm still chillin'...easy let go and let God deal with it" I thought "wow...T.I.'s been to AA

My niece is 16, and likes to drink I can talk 'til I'm blue in the face, set a good role example and do what I can. I'm glad that some of the people she thinks are so awesome (hip-hop stars) are at least addressing the issues, and some of them are in jail...facing consequences for their actions.

Hugs and prayers!

Amy
