A little "pick-me-up"
To pick up some spirits.
Little about me. 25 years old, work full time, nice house, amazing girlfriend.
I started drinking when in high school. Taking it from my parents, having older people buy it, it was easy. By 21, I was drunk everynight. By 23 I was averaging 60+ beers a week + going out, and of course drunk every night. I fought with quitting for a long time. Quitting for short periods, the going right back but worse.
My girlfriend met some girlfriends after work for dinner one night, so I decided to have a few beers. By the time she got home (only about 8:30pm) I was a wreck. I could barely talk, sluring, stumbling all around. I was throwing up passed out on the bathroom floor. Finally made it to the bedroom where I spent the night(and half the next day). She layed on the couch crying all night curled up with a blanket.
The next day, after realizing all that had happened, I commited. I swore I would never do that to her again. I meant it. Since that day I have not had a sip of alcohol. That was over 3 months ago. My cravings are stronger than ever, but I know I can handle it now. Ive completely accepted I have a problem, and being alcohol free is my only solution.
