What 70 days of sobriety means to me....
What 70 days of sobriety means to me....
- No panic attacks
- Peace of mind
- No hang overs
- Full weeknds to enjoy instead of sleeping away hungover
- A flat belly
- FABULOUS sleeps
- No anxious mornings checking my cell phone to see who I called/texted while dunk......no checking Facebook for the same reason......oh I've done it!
- Always money left in the bank when the next payday rolls around
- Joy
- Clear skin
- No hungover mornings at work - they are the worst........
- A cleaner house
- Less procrastination ( still working on that one...lol .....I don't think that one is all about the booze......lol )
- A feeling of pride that I haven't felt in years....:-D
I'm sure there are many more reasons.........the sun is shining......heading to the lake for a walk........70 days ago....I would be in bed hungover....tossing and turning......sweating........sick..........not today. It IS a good day :-D What great things have sobriety brought into your life? Happy Sunday everyone!

Hi Shantra!! First of all on your 70 days!!! I can relate to all of your old patterns!! and I'm grateful for not having them too!! like you had posted on my thread, there are tough days but the good ones sure do out weigh the bad.. I've been up since 7:00 and if I was drinking, I'd be lucky to be moving my eyelids at noon!!! you can have so many more hours to really enjoy!! The 3 months now that I've been sober have gone so fast, but the memories of what life was like while drinking, are still so vivid which I guess is a good thing...
Wishing you a happy sober day in Newfoundland... I have a friend who is from Trout River!!
