How did I celebrate?
At my usual Sunday a.m. meeting
I picked up a year chip.
At our monthly birthday meeting next Friday night
all April members are presented with our medallions.
E...has 26...G. and I 21...R is 14...S 7 ..P & T .. 1 year.
We will have a guest speaker...cake...much laughing
and a few tears. Our family members are welcomed.
Anyway....back to today.....
my home group is moving tomorrow to a larger building.
After the meeting....I stayed to help pack our books.
My closest AA friend....sober 24 years....treated me to lunch
By the time we arrived at the restaurant ...dining
room was full.
Churchgoers eat out on Sunday around here.
We had a lovely lunch.......in the bar section
about the irony

Maybe there was someone in that bar, that needed to hear your message...and maybe she did just seeing what 21 years of sobriety can do for a person.
I don't believe in coincidence, Carol, especially when there are church groups involved (even if they were hogging all the restaurant seats).
