Hi all, I think I'm going through the alcohol DTs, just hit Day 4 without alcohol... I know I've said I cut back compared to my past so I would have less alcohol in my system but the LAST WEEK ... I drank SO MUCH beer like 10+ and a bottle of wine 3 times in one week, it re awoken my drinking problem. Sure I feel under control now, but I've been experiencing tremors, anxiety more than usual, depression, fear, shakiness, bad dreams, a LOT OF SLEEPING and seeing spots occasionally. Anyone else have any of this at a time or point of their lives? Thank you.

I know I've said this before - we're not a medical board here. If you're worried at all about any aspect of your health the sensible thing to is call a Dr. I know you have anxiety about that - if you find that to difficult to do yourself get some help from someone else.

That's not exactly cutting back levels either - have you thought of what else you can do to stop drinking?

If you are coherent enough to post here, it is doubtful that you had the DTs. However you should see your Dr.

I agree with dgillz. Everyone's detox is different, but during mine there was no way I could have posted on this board.

DT does not stand for detox. It stands for delirium tremens. Read this article for more info:

As you can see this is a life threatening condition. Up to 33% mortality according to wikipedia.
