Hi there,
My doctor prescribed me Ativan in such large quantities that it was dangerous even on it's own!!! And, of course, I mixed it with alcohol and am lucky that I am alive! Not all doctors are on the straight and narrow - A few of the ones I've had dealings with tended to be very slack and lazy and always ready with a prescription. You really have to do your homework. However, as mentioned above, alcoholics tend not to be very honest with their docs either!
