AQ522, your yesterday was my today. I somehow made it past my prime cocktail hour(s) and hung out here for a few hours. I made it too. We can do it, everyday if we want.

Minerva glad to hear you won and remained sober. Those thoughts happen to all of us. I've been dealing with them myself the past week or so. I'll get up one day and in the morning I feel like I can take on the world. Feel like I am so strong in wanting to be sober, happy in what my life is at the moment, then not even 5 mins later it all changes for some reason and I have such a urge to go back to what seems "normal" to me.

I don't know the answer, and don't claim too. But long as you reach out to people here and don't give in then that's a big step. That's what I have been doing when those feelings hit me and its been working.

Glad ya worked through it. Stay strong.

Steve

Families can be very stressful to be around. Some of the oldest memories I have of my father are him asking me to run and get him a beer. He was a problem drinker which brings back memories. And let's face it, you don't go 30 something years without building a relationship that contains love, anger, guilt, sorrow. Plus its (for me anyway) customary to drink when with family. Don't get me started sister. Hang in there.

Glad you are better Amazon! These mood swings we have in the beginning can be terrifying, but coming here and pouring your heart out was the right thing to do. So glad you conquered it. We'll be here for you the next time too. Hugs!
