New here... this could be just what I need
Hello there,
I just wanted to say hi. I just found this site today and I have spent about the past hour reading various posts, and I think I need to be here. I'm not going to bore you all with my story/details just yet, but I have been struggling with the decision to quit drinking and I've been trying to do it alone and it's not working. No one knows that I have a drinking problem except for me, and the pressure has just been too much for me to handle.
I have felt so very alone for so long, and then I read some posts here... and realized I'm not alone after all.
I know that eventually I am going to have to confess to the people in my life, but for now this seems like a good place to start.

I'm new too and trying to figure out how it works. Hope to quit drinking.
It will take me awhile to learn how to post messages and reply. Basically though, I'm 60 yr.old divorced, live alone lady. Have a good life except my favorite thing to do for the past 40 yrs. is to down a bottle of wine at home and enjoy the numbing bliss. Then in the morning, I say never again.
So here I am.
