WOW 9 Months Sober!!!!
It seems to add up fast some of the time and slow other times but it is a GREAT feeling to be sober nine months!!! :ghug
When I was sober 9 months I was still struggling with my chemical imbalance depression but my doc was afraid to put my antidepressant up to a theraputic level so I became so agitated and angry that I ended up in the psyc-hospital & the psychiatrist there said I was more depressed than anyone he had seen for quite some time. This was after I had been diagnosed and did some paper testing.
He also said the amount of AD that I was taking would be about the same as taking an asprin. He put me up to a theraputic dose...it took about six weeks before I noticed some difference in my mood but I surely wasn't suicidal anymore.
I spent my whole first year of sobriety working the AA Program, going to meetings everyday, in counseling for my alcoholism & depression...two separate counselors...& groups and work.
It worked for me this time. Everyone has their own way of getting sober & I believe what ever works best for each person is what works!!
Good Work on you NINE MONTHS!!!!!
