Ok sleeping is becoming hard.
I've been realizing that I drink too much. I drank 2 bottles of wine and 1/2 a 750 of rum last friday and woke up saturday still drunk and had to go to work. I felt ashamed and dissapointed. I knew my wife would be disappointed. I have a 6 week old at home. It's not worth it. So I said enough is enough. I'm going to stop for a while, if not for good. Any sign of recurrence and i'll have to take more serious measures.
So anyway, I'm on day 3 and I could NOT fall asleep last night. I think I've numbed myself up for a good number of years that i could fall asleep easily. My mind was going a million miles an hour and I couldn't sleep!!!!

Way to go on having 3 days Azreal . I've heard that sleeping patterns do get back to normal sooner or later. I can't say that from experience though because I've been alcohol free for over a year now and still have chronic insomnia.
I hope you get some answers and some rest.

Good job on the 3 days. I've got 28 days sober and it does get better. The first week was the worst. My sleep patterns aren't completely back on track but I've seen improvement from last week to this week.
Azreal, when you have a newborn, sleeping patterns can be off for at least a year. (jk)
The best thing about this sleeping problem you are having is that your body is being honest with you and because of this discomfort there is reinforcement that something needs to be done.
Stay in there, every day is easier.

Perhaps seeing a doctor can help. I've had good results with a low dose of Seraquel. It's not like the usual sleep med like Ambien, Lunesta, Rozeram ect....
