Hello!

I'm pretty new to the site myself. I've been sober the entire week, day 7 for me. When I started to read the alcohol abuse forum my goal was to not quit drinking, but to cut down on my drinking, but since reading this forum I've decided to give up alcohol entirely, and have been feeling great since I started!!

Marius,

Welcome. You and I have much in common. I joined AA a few years ago so that I could learn to "drink better" since my drinking had become a problem I felt that with a little time in AA I could get it under control and start enjoying drinking again. Needless to say, it just didn't turn out to be the case as I was an alcoholic.

As long as I was already in AA I decided, what the heck, I'll just quit and that has been the best and most productive decision I ever made!

Welcome aboard,

Jon
