Brother Tony, no doubt this is a difficult time. You are in my prayers. Know that your sister's death is not in vain. Keep sharing man. One thing I have learned about death and this disease is that one way or the other we all carry the message. Keep doing the deal.

It seems improper to read your post and not comment Tony.

I'm so sorry for your loss - but at the same time I want to thank you for sharing this tragic loss with me. It helped keep me sober and determined tonight.

Thanks GettingSober (and again to everybody else)

I've been talking about my sister at meetings, most especially at the N.A. meeting I help run at the treatment center where I first found recovery. Sometimes it feels really Hollywood and scripted, you know, "recovering alcoholic brings it home and personal because his very own sister died from the disease" and all, but what am I gonna do? Not talk about it and miss the opportunity to share that "Jails, Institutions and Death" is not something we say just to be dramatic? I don't think so.
