Appetite

Since I stopped drinking my appetite hasn't come back (It wansn't around during the drinking nights/mornings either) but it usually came back after a day or two not drinking. It doesn't seem to be back since after my last stint. Anyone have experience with this? I know I need to eat something (!) but it all sounds really unappetizing. Thanks!

Alcoholism depletes your body of a lot of nutrients. Read up what foods will heal you and help with cravings. Force yourself to eat maybe small amounts but more often

mine was the opposite - i wanted to eat constantly.

turned out to be terribly anemic.
got that cleared up (finally) and now I'm doing the same thing.
not eating, I mean.

*I* thought it was just the heat.

Mine came back too after I stopped my liquid diet. But it was a good 30 days before I enjoyed food.

That said, in times of stress or high activity (and heat), in still does go away.

If you have a copy of
"Under The Influence"

Look towards the back for
the eating and nutriion plan.

And...
Many alcoholics follow an eating plan for
hypoglycemia

It's very important we get ourselves
back to a healthy balance.

I have also used Ensure
as a supplement.

Hope this helps...

Multivitamins will help your appetite to improve and try going to a restaurant that serves the kind of food you really really like.

My appetite was through the roof when I got sober.

a healthy body leads to a helthy mine
so
a little exercise won't hurt
a long walk, a slow jog, the gym, etc
i'm sire by dinnertime, you'll have an appetite
or small meals
fruit, tuna, tomatoe,
google "healthy diet"

essentially, time takes time

best
