Hi Rusty,

Glad you are still sober, and yes, your dad would be pleased!

Hey Rusty, glad you're here. As strained a relationship I had with my step Dad, I feel sure he would be proud of the life I have today. I had 7 years of dry time until I went back out in 2000 for 4 years. And then another 2 years of dry before I came back to AA in March. Yesterday I completed my first step with my sponsor. The first REAL first step. Down in the dirt rigorous honesty, hold nothing back first step. If I do what I did yesterday today, and keep doing that I'll pick up a 90 day chip next Tuesday. 90 days the AA way. Life is already getting better. I have a cell phone full of friends. And a HOME in my home group!!!! Keep doing what you're doing and you'll get to the other side. AA isn't for the people that need it or the people that want it, it's for the people that work it.
