I stayed sober today so my kids could visit. Now I find that I have to pick them up tomorrow. Why did I stay sober this evening and miss a meeting that I like?

I wish I had that option in my life now. But I don't. I still don't get to see my kid because of all the f'd up stuff I've done using. I try to stay sober so that my life will get better, and it's still a strugle. It's not going to get better overnite. Check out this article Morning Glory posted. I haven't been able to get to this forum until now. I appreciate your thoughts and kindness. I get p*ssed off at the ex for trivial reasons. All in all, we DO have a pretty good relationship. I did enjoy my kids today. I apologize if I brought up some unhappy memories of some of you. We did have a good time.

When I think about it, it IS better staying sober, even if it seems a chore at times.

24 hours and counting. Talk to all tomorrow. I'm off to bed soon.

I don't want top speak for others too much but Ithink they're pointing out the fact that you should be grateful.

I know I am. Even when my youngest demands to be driven here or wants that. I thank God when she keeps me awake at night with the TV because she's here with me
