my reward for staying sober found ME......
hi guys.....a few days ago,i was feeling restless,almost bored of being sober....needing to reward myself for staying sober.....yesterday at work,I got a reward.....I discovered someone new......ME! I was full of energy,i was looking people in the eyes when i spoke to them,even people i didn't know.....and i even made few people laugh.....i discovered that i have a sense of humor.....i felt so at ease,and so comfortable,just being ME.....it was a great feeling.
when i was drinking every night,i always felt like there was a black cloud over me....it was the shame,the guilt,the depression weighing me down......I didn't want people to SEE me.....i wanted to be invisible.....and i was. yesterday i was feeling visible,and it felt really good.i never realized how much the alchohol and the depression had a grip on me...i now feel like i am starting all over...i am a clean slate,so to speak,and i CAN start over......as long as i keep doing what i am doing,and stay sober.....the fog is lifting,and the cobwebs are slowly clearing out,and i can see.....and I love it.....hope you all have a good day today.KT

KT that is great! It gets better every day, I promise, it has for me, do not get me wrong, I still have those "moments"! Those "moments" though are shorter and further apart the longer I stay sober and working my program.

I know of this group ... they hang out almost nightly ... doesn't cost anything and all they talk about is drinking ... maybe you heard of it. Try 90/90. I was a bar rat too (bartender) and the 90/90 established new playgrounds and made new playmates to boot!
