Wink Day 7 but my mother claims I'm "group home material"...

Just because I'm depressed, don't have usual interests, a bit lazy, I'll never be able to handle a household while she's always been the one saying I will be able to do it with ease... I mean what the hell type of message am I receiving from this? God... I get overwhelmed, I've had problems but I don't think I'm GROUP HOME MATERIAL, I MEAN CHRIST... this is day 7 off booze/nicotine and I'm unstoppable now

Hey Paulos -

I had a really shi**y day yesterday. I'm over controlling, self centered, and can't seem to realx. I can't let go of work; I need to let go, to give over. No one's life is perfect. I took some time off from work this morning and had a coffee, turned off my cell phone, just relaxed. I let everything go for just a half an hour. I also took an hour to go to an AA meeting this afternoon. The topic of discussion was a member of the fellowship that committed suicide in the parking lot. It truly put things in perspective for me. My problems are NOTHING in comparison. Going to that meeting made such a difference in my day!! I really have a good life and have to be greatful for everyone in my life today.

Great Job in Day 7!!!

congrats to you paulos! remember it is just one day at a time for all of us. You don't have to think about group homes today. You are doing great. Look up those online meetings if you haven't already. ((((hugs))))
